“Having witnessed the Pre-Prep Showcase® in action, I know what a unique opportunity it provides for young hockey players to showcase their talents while being coached by athletic instructors from both private high school and private middle schools. Although the talent level for boys and girls is quite high, there is no emphasis on wins and losses but rather on a chance to educate the skaters and you, their parents, of the advantages of taking part in the weekend. Your child will be coached by experienced coaches who want to help you find the right educational fit as well as the right “athletic fit.” Moreover, there is a luncheon on Saturday where you will have the chance to ask questions of and talk with admissions officers. After lunch, there is an Admissions Fair so that you may find out more information about each school represented. We want you to come away from this weekend having learned about the private school admissions process and to have the chance to meet players and other parents. Please know that as coaches and teachers, we too, are looking to help you find the best program for your child.”
