“While there are many off-season opportunities for coaches to evaluate prospective players and for prep school candidates to gain exposure to prep coaches, I have found no other opportunity that offers the intimate and deliberate engagement of coaches, players and parents. Over a dozen years—initially as a boys’ coach and now as a girls’ coach—the Pre-Prep Showcase has provided me with the occasion to evaluate players (players who have specifically declared an interest in prep school), to, quite literally, work directly with kids on the bench and in the locker room, and to visit with families in various forums. The Pre-Prep Showcase® clearly aims to serve the mutual interests of the coaches and families it represents. I can say, for myself, it has never failed to be a tremendously valuable weekend.”
